Turning leaves, leaves, turning

Site specific Butoh performance combined with slide projection. The piece is inspired by Wayang, an Indonesian and Malay form of shadow puppet theatre. The slide projections portray the four seasons while act as a rear light source for the shadow creation.

Projection size: 5.25m x 3.6m

The performance took place as part of the Earth Celebrations festival in New York City. The festival's main aim is to preserve the few parks left in the city in an attempt to keep them being sold for real-estate purposes.
